Formed to engage women in understanding local issues and helping to address them, the council has raised $2.8 million, funds that are being invested in struggling middle schools in Forsyth County.

United Way of Forsyth County Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) announces its 1,000th member milestone. Since it’s inception in 2007, the Women’s Leadership Council membership has seen consistent growth. The WLC established the goal to increase their membership of 870 to 1,000 members during 2011.
